We offer three support options:
1.
Support Group Meetings at Children's Hospital
- We will have guest speakers such as neurosurgeons,
neurologists, neurosurgery nurse practitioners, physical
and occupational therapists etc plus a specific topic
to learn about at each meeting. Sample topics could
include research on new treatments, shunt technologies,
developmental outcomes, transition from child to adult
treatment etc.

Saturday, June 14th, 2008 from 10 until noon
Location: Seattle Children's, 1st Floor Giraffe

Food: Snacks
Childcare Provided (please bring drinks for your kids)
Family Picnic:
Saturday, August 16th, 2008 from 10 am until 2 pm
Location: Cottage Lake Park, Woodinville WA, Shelter 1 Pavillion
Cottage Lake has a great playground for kids next to the shelter, a 63 acre lake with a dock that you can swim in, and a big swimming pool which we will have reserved for our group from 12-1 PM. We can have 25 people maximum in the pool at once. There is a spiral water slide that goes into 5 feet that is also available to us.
Things to do:
*A non-motorized rowboat with life jackets for up to 4 people will be available. (You must be able to swim to use the rowboat.)
*Swim in the lake or swim in a pool complete with a large water slide from 12 pm to 1 pm.
*Play on the playground.
*Play Frisbee or softball.
*Fly a kite if there is wind.
*Fish off of the dock.
*Take a nature walk on the trails surrounding the park.
*Relax and eat.
Please bring something to barbeque and a covered dish to share. All paper products, utensils, and drinks (lemonade, ice tea and water) will be provided.
2.
Online Hydrocephalus Community Forum
- Join the forum to post a message on the new bulletin
board and learn what other parents have to share.
If you have a specific question, you just want to
share your concerns/emotions or just want to read
what other parents have to say - please
visit the hydrocephalus support forum.

Also if you have an older child with hydrocephalus
